Good user experience and product design is more than meets the eye; it’s about solving problems.

UX is not an event, it’s a fluid journey. Utilising user orientated concepts I create intuitive experiences that evoke feeling, attract attention and leave an impression.

I am always intrigued by the ways in which users think and interact. I am obsessed with creating immersive customer-centric experiences that customers love (by adding a pinch of behavioural science), and that bring simplicity to complex concepts that define the product direction, and create smooth user experiences that are meaningful to the desired audiences.

I get involved throughout the entire UX lifecycle of a project. I am an advocate of iterative working processes borrowing from the lean and agile mindsets; and I champion design thinking and creativity within the business.

Please note, due to some NDAs I cannot disclose all projects I have been working on. Take a look at some of my work.

My experience

In a previous life, I co-founded a UX consultancy and launched the digital journeys of over 150 companies. I lead various projects relating to all aspects of UX, the overall customer experience, usability and product development — generating engaging user experiences that enhance a brand and build a business.

Currently, I work as a UX designer for a SaaS company. In this role I influence thought, emotion and behaviour to transform business needs, market research and user insights into innovative concepts.

In the past, I have worked in large enterprises as well as in high-growth start-up environments — in remote, international and cross-functional teams.

My passions

When I am not UX-ing, I am out and about by the coast; I adore the sea and I enjoy costal walks - getting some thinking space - or, you’d even find me on my paddle board in a desperate attempt to stay upright. I constantly look though the lens for a fresh perspective - snapping away photographs and creating new memories.

I am passionate about interior design which is reflected in the way I live. I love aesthetic minimalism and coastal interior design. I also write a lifestyle blog about coastal living and interiors, and I enjoy creating coastal fluid art.

Typical UX activities

  • Researching the needs and workflows of users

  • Explore, ideate and define the ux/cx experience

  • Plan, design and document user interfaces for digital products/applications

  • Propose ideas that solve problems creatively and shape these into logical, coherent solutions that centre around user needs

  • Explore and define personas, use-cases and user interaction, and incorporate them into designs and user flows

  • Design, prototype and test user journeys and interactions for new features, products and services that lead to intuitive user experiences

  • Use insights from user research, competitive analysis and metrics to identify and define ‘pain points’ to improve the journey and overall customer experience

  • Continually test and iterate designs through performance analytics and direct customer interaction

  • Apply behavioural economics and psychological persuasion techniques to online experiences

  • Explore a range of approaches to solve specific user problems and ensure that the product logically flows from one step to the next

  • Produce user journeys/flows, sitemaps, navigation schema, and annotated wireframes

  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback, iterating designs to optimise the customer experience

  • Help develop design systems by contributing new components, patterns, and interactions (but also know when to use established patterns vs. creating new ones)

  • Partner with cross-functional, agile project teams to see designs through from idea to implementation - with a user-centred design process

  • Run workshops with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders

  • Share best practice and my learnings in a collaborative manner to ensure high UX standards
